This glow in the dark enamel pin I designed for SIAMESE Apparel was inspired by the Gorgon from Greek mythology. Medusa had been cursed by Athena out of jealousy, turning her beautiful hair into snakes.
She could turn people into stone with a glance of her eyes; but eventually Perseus was sent to get her head as a trophy. He defeated her with the help of a mirror shield, looking into her reflection and finally beheading her.
The pin was designed using illustrator. The snakes and the eyes glow intensely in the dark. I designed a custom backer for it, where the buyer of the pin would be able to reveal Medusa's hidden monster face lurking in the dark waters of her cave:
